It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce that Peta MacKinnon, a CL1 ladies player, has been inducted into the ACT Sport Hall of Fame as a full member.  Peta joins three other United Hockey Club members, Andrew Deane, Ben Taylor and Sarah Young (nee Taylor).

Peta

Peta made her Australian debut when she was 23 and went on to play 83 games with the Hockeyroos, scoring 17 goals.  She ranks the 2004 Athens Olympics as the highlight of her career with the season she played in Spain and winning the Champions Trophy in Australia in 2003 adding to her special hockey moments.  In the final year of her professional career Peta finished runner up in the FIH women’s player of the year behind Argentine Luciana Aymar, who is widely considered the greatest female player of all time.  Peta also plays a role in developing hockey outside of United Hockey Club, running skills and coaching clinics for juniors in the school holidays.
