Hookin2Hockey

Kickstart Your Child’s Hockey Journey

Hookin2Hockey is a modified version of traditional hockey adapted for children under the age of 10 and provides them an opportunity to get involved in a fun and regular competition in a safe environment.  Boys and girls get the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills and make friends all while beginning their lifelong love of hockey!

North and South Locations

United Hockey Club is one of the largest Hookin2Hockey clubs in Canberra running two Hookin2Hockey programs on Saturday mornings from 9am to 10am at Nicholls (Holy Spirit and Gold Creek Primary School, Kelleway Avenue, Nicholls) and Pearce (Melrose High School, 41 Marr St, Pearce)

Uniform

United Hockey Club hookin2hockey players wear white shorts/skorts and red socks which are available for sale from the hockey shop at the National Hockey Centre in Lyneham.  The  royal blue United playing shirt is available for sale directly from the club.  The uniform is, however, optional for our hookin2hockey members.  Players wear normal running/jogging shoes on the synthetic playing fields.
